Virtual Empower: An Event Designed for Patients and Healthcare Providers | October 3, 2020
When you are diagnosed with breast cancer, where do you turn?
If you’re like most, it’s a combination of your provider, support and advocacy groups, friends and family, and even Google! Rarely, do newly diagnosed, in-treatment, or post-treatment patients have a forum with medical practitioners and professional support companies. And even more rarely do providers have the opportunity to have candid conversations with patients.
EMPOWER aims to allow the unanswered, confusing, scary, and practical questions to be posed by patients and providers alike and to capture the dialogue in a virtual and enduring format so that hundreds of other patients and providers can benefit.
In addition to the ‘Patient and Provider’ session, we will be hosting special sessions on support services, survivorship, and medical distancing designed to provide patients and survivors with tools necessary to make strong decisions.
Join us in our pursuit to give patients and providers a clearer communication strategy, to EMPOWER them to be bold and brave in both talking and listening to each other.
